You have standardized test scores --- STAR, CST, SRI, SAM,
CELDT, SABE. You have local district assessment scores. You
have demographic information about your students. You have a variety of
teachers and programs. How do you view all this information in clear, concise, meaningful
ways?
Clear, relevant reports and studies are at the heart of any system of assessment and
improvement. Reports let you see the big and intermediate picture such as
the performance of dis-aggregated groups of students. But many special
EdTech Associates' reports let you see the more individualized picture, such as the
relative performance of individual students, teachers, or programs. Other
reports are pro-active -- they pre-select students for inclusion in certain
programs or designate which students have not met requirements for promotion or
graduation.
EdTech Associates systems and staff can provide any type of report that is statistically
possible. Do it yourself with QuickSTAR3, or EdTech Associates staff can
put the report on your desk in just a few days.

Note on Sample Report
Quality
|
| When you
look at a sample, remember that you are looking at a web-page rendition of the
report. How good it looks depends on your browser, monitor and other
considerations. In reality, when we produce a report for you, it is always
presentation-quality and laser-printer-sharp. |
Here are just a few samples of QuickSTAR3 reports.
Some of these reports have been produced by users; others have
been produced by QuickSTAR3 staff at user request.
Individual Student Report
This report is a specific line-by-line, student-by-student report
that shows every district assessment, every standardized STAR assessment, and every
California Content Performance Level for the
student. Then, optionally, based upon the district's multiple-measure formula
for determining if a student has met grade-level-standards, the report
gives a statistically-clear retention, promotion, or
graduation recommendation for each student in your district. This report makes a fine presentation to parents showing them why
or why not their child is meeting grade standard.

This report can also be produced with a single page
for each student or in letter format with all scores, and specific
recommendations, included in the letter.
Summary Reports
Summary reports summarize information in ways that make
different facets of information become more apparent.

Dis-aggregation Reports
Click here to see a sample report of all major STAR and
California Content Performance Level averages dis-aggregated for Language
Fluency groups. Of course, one can do the same report for every demographic
group desired -- gender, ethnicity, grade, GATE, Special Education Status,
Poverty Status, Title I, Title VII.
A More Complex Dis-aggregation Study
QuickSTAR3 can conduct dis-aggregations and computer
studies to compare the relative performance of different programs, different
teachers, or different site philosophies. Here's one actual example of a
multi-level dis-aggregation study, requested by a superintendent, designed to
show differing results for each teacher teaching the same course at each site.

Multi-Year Reports
Many assessment systems cannot do multi-year reports. QuickSTAR3
offers both multi-year reports and true cohort studies.

see a 4-year comparison of average NP scores.
Click here to see a 4-year comparison of the
percentage of students at or above the 50th percentile.
Click here to see a 2-year
comparison of the percentage of students scoring a '4 or 5' on the ELA
Content Standards.
True cohort studies don't compare one grade from one year with
the succeeding grade in the succeeding year. Statistically correct cohort
studies track only the students remain with the cohort from year to year.
Old students are eliminated. New students are not counted. There is
no better way to see how your school is really doing than to run a cohort study.

ULTRASCORE API AYP Score Improvement Study
Our ULTRASCORE
API AYP Score Improvement Study is far too important to try to
summarize here. One administrator seriously calls it "a breakthrough
educational tool". Another administrator wryly calls it an "IEP
in a box". If you need to dramatically improve your school's API
or AYP scores, click here to take a look.
